Hoboken Recorders - 66 Willow Ave. Hoboken, NJ

The Studio

Hoboken Recorders is a full-service analog and digital recording studio located in downtown Hoboken, New Jersey—five minutes outside of downtown Manhattan via Holland Tunnel or PATH train service. Our facility operates 24/7 and has every conceivable type of restaurant and pub within walking distance to our door. The studio is known for its laid-back vibe, great sounding recordings and no-pressure recording experience.

Our control room is completely separated from the live rooms, and connected by video feed. We find that this provides a much more comfortable environment than being in a room with engineers looking at you through a big window, or in the room with you. Our setup is very flexible; we have a huge 1,000 sq. ft live room with a large sound stage, a small iso booth, a larger, completely isolated room with oak sound dispersion panels on the walls, and a secondary isolated live room, with similar acoustic treatment. With this setup we're able to capture large ensembles with a great degree of isolation, or if the music calls for it, all in the same large room comfortably.
